Here are the advantages:
Three-Phase filtering - polyester
pre-filter, activated carbon and HEPA type filtration eliminate
chemicals & odors-trap 90-95% of particles down to .3 microns.
Simple, reliable operation - one of the
simplest, most reliable systems available anywhere.
Safe, easy maintenance - filter changes
are easy and environmentally friendly.
Efficient to run - cost effective
filter changes for very low operating costs.
Adaptable to new or existing systems -
many Matrix Air systems can be easily installed in new or existing
systems using standard components.
Self-Installation - Matrix Air systems
come with all installation hardware included.. many can be easily
installed by the end user.
Sized-to-fit - nineteen products to
suit a small office, a whole house, and industrial installation and
everything in-between.
Continuous cleaning - room air is
constantly filtered, trapping odors & contaminants on every pass.
Customized filtering - many custom
options available for specialized treatment, including
super-efficient true HEPA 99.97% filtering, trapping odors &
contaminants on every pass.

The Matrix Air
Filter Maintenance Program |
|
|
|
Earn a
ten-year extended warranty! |
|
|
|
Every air filtration system , no
matter how it works, has to be maintained. Competing
systems become almost ineffective once they're dirty,
and can be quite difficult to clean.
HEPA filtering (developed by the
Atomic Energy Commission to filter radioactive particles
from the air) is very safe and simple to maintain -
slide out the old filter and slide in the new.
To help keep your Matrix Air
systems running at their best, we include a 12-month
supply of all necessary filters with each unit*. After
12 months, our Filter Maintenance Program will send
yearly reminders, to keep your system properly
maintained.
If filters are changed
according to the maintenance schedule, Matrix Air will
grant an extended warranty of 10 years to the original
purchaser, covering the entire unit (excluding filters.)
* Some higher-capacity units come
with smaller supplies; see product description for
details. |

THE
FOLLOWING FILTERS ARE INCLUDED WITH THE PURCHASE OF EACH
Matrix Air SYSTEM |
|
|
|
Pre-Filters |
|
Polyester pre filters are supplied with each system. The pre filter
is changed monthly and removes larger particles such as lint, hair,
dust, and pollen. The pre filter is important because not only does
it remove the larger particles, it also helps prolong the life of
the HEPA filter in the system. Essentially, the pre filter is the
first line of defense in maintaining your system; therefore
promoting better indoor air quality. |

Activated Carbon
Filter |
|
Activated Carbon Filters (pad) are supplied
with each system. The activated carbon filter is changed every two
months and removes odors by absorbing the odor molecules into the
filter. Since the activated carbon can only absorb a certain amount
of molecules, it will begin releasing the trapped molecules, once it
is full, back into the air if not properly maintained. Most indoor
air quality issues are resolved by using the standard activated
carbon filter pad. For those who have heavier odor situations; we
offer Activated Carbon Filters (panel) in lieu of the standard
activated carbon filters (pad). The activated carbon panel filter is
changed every four months and is filled with activated carbon
pellets. These pellets, which have more absorption strength, have a
longer life and therefore can be more effective for odor control. As
with the standard activated carbon, the activated carbon panel
filter must be maintained in order to preserve proper function of
the system and promote healthy indoor air. |

HEPA Filter - HEPA
is an acronym for High Efficiency Particulate Air
(filter) |
|
1 HEPA Filter is
supplied with each system (3”, 6” or 12” thick). The HEPA filter
removes the very small particles, such as smoke (tobacco, burning
wood, oil, rosin), dust mites, spores, mold spores, pollen, spray
paint, spray paint dust, ashes, cement dust, auto emissions, textile
fibers, fiberglass, hairspray, insecticide dust, copier toner and
most viruses just to name a few. As you can see, the HEPA filter is
an extremely important filter and when used and maintained properly
will dramatically improve your indoor air quality. We cannot stress
enough the importance of the HEPA filter to our system and the fact
the HEPA filter must be maintained in order to achieve the maximum
results.
Here is a brief explanation of a HEPA filter and how it works. The
HEPA filter is a throwaway filter in a rigid metal frame. It is
constructed with high efficiency water resistant, inorganic glass
micro fiber media that is pleated to form a media pack. Rolled edge
aluminum separators are inserted between each pleat to provide an
extensive open area for airflow and to stabilize the media pack. The
entire media pack is sealed with a fire retarding, rubber base,
two-part sealant that bonds the media and separators to the interior
of the metal filter frame to prevent air bypass. As air passes into
the HEPA filter, the particles (such as smoke, dust, etc…) attach to
the filter media and are trapped. As the HEPA filter collects more
and more particles, the HEPA filter actually increases in
efficiency, but with this efficiency also comes a reduction in air
velocity. As the HEPA filter continues to load, less air will be
able to pass through the filter, therefore greatly altering the
effectiveness of the system. Over time you will see the
effectiveness of the system lessen and it will be an indicator that
it may be time to replace the HEPA filter. Proper maintenance of the
HEPA filter is absolutely essential to the functionality of our air
filtration systems as well as a vital part in continuing to provide
a clean, healthy, pleasant indoor air environment.
